What you see in this picture may well be the largest tidal power turbine in the world, and yet the developer has described as "simple and robust." According Atlantis Resources, their AK-1000 has been specially designed to survive a harsh marine environment. Comprising two sets of blades that will generate electricity through the ebb and waves, the AK-1000 will move slowly through the water, and it will not be a threat to marine life. The turbines will be six to eight revolutions per minute. The AK-1000 is expected to contribute greatly to generate green electricity.
