DRS is preparing to release his ARMOR Rugged Tablet X10gx 10.4" to the general public. It has a magnesium alloy chassis strong enough to respond adequately to standard MIL-STD-810G for shock, vibration and temperature extremes. Moreover, thanks to IP67 standard, it is impervious to moisture, dust, sand, pollen, and mud, among others. Under the hood you'll find an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.2GHz Ultra Low-voltage, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB SSD drive up, lithium-ion and hot-swappable Windows 7 Ultimate. Its LED backlit 10.4 "has a resolution of 1024 x 768.
The connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11n, Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, and Gobi mobile broadband option with GPS 2000, three USB ports, an HDMI output, SD / SDHC, docking connector (old) and a few optional . Concerning security, there is a fingerprint reader, support for encrypted disks and a smart card reader. This unit weighs 2.1kg and will be available from September 15. The price is not known yet.
